With a career spanning decades and a dozen albums with Lowen & Navarro, Dan Navarro finally releases his first true studio-recorded solo set, "Shed My Skin." And it has been worth the wait. Eight Navarro originals are joined by four cover songs, two by friends of Dan's, one from an unlikely source and a classic standard. Produced and guitarred by Steve Postell (of the Immediate Family), and featuring Danny Kortchmar, Leland Sklar, Janiva Magness, Wendy Waldman, Freebo, Tony Furtado, Phil Parlapiano, Brother Sun, Grace Pettis, the late David Glaser and more.

The final L&N album, with producer Jim Scott back at the helm. The songs carry the reflected awareness of finality and the palpable gratitude for time well spent. Produced by John Whynot in 2004. Recorded after a six year absence from the studio, as Eric Lowen was being diagnosed with ALS, aka Lou Gehrig's Disease. The diagnosis cast the sessions in the light of sober minded reflection and intense gratitude. CD contains the hidden "zero track" "Love Song", positioned before the first track, included with the MP3 download (free with CD purchase). Non-CD track "Something More Than This" is also included with the download.
